Audit Committee
The Audit committee serves as an independent and objective party to monitor the financial compliance process of the Church. The audit committee shall have the Church's financial records audited annually, and will submit a written report to the Church during a Church Business Meeting following completion of the Audit The committee shall encourage continuous improvement of the Church's management policies, practices and procedures. This will be done in a manner that exemplifies the body of Christ and exemplifies God's word.

Benevolence Committee
The Fort Foote Benevolence Committee provides basic emergency assistance to applicants; i.e., food, clothing and shelter. Also, the committee provides minimal financial assistance, when determined by the Committee as a genuine necessity.

Child Development Committee
The Child Development Committee is responsible for providing a structured, year-round educational and recreational day care program for young children ranging in age from 2 to 4 years of age. The committee oversees the Fort Foote Baptist Church Child Development Center, ensuring the licensing and certification of staff; creative educational programs that enhance learning; nutritious meals and snacks; warm and welcome interaction with children and parents; and safe and secure environments for the children.

Church Council
The Church Council of Fort Foote Baptist Church (1) Reviews calendar of church activities and meetings for each quarter; (2) Reviews and recommends resolution to problems which require joint consideration; (3) Fulfills needs which should be supplied cooperatively; (4) Establishes objectives which call for teamwork; and (5) Reviews and make recommendations on capital expenditures for new acquisition of equipment and alternatives. The Church Council consists of the Pastor, the officers of the Church, the Deacons, Trustees, the Church Administrator (who shall act as moderator, at the discretion of the Pastor), committee and Ministry chairs, and the leaders of Church organizations

Constitution Committee
The Constitution Committee annually reviews the Constitution and By laws of the Church to ensure that these critical documents are accurate and current. It is also responsible for studying amendments, additions, repeals, etc., to the Constitution and By laws prior to the time vote is taken on such changes to ensure compatibility in language and meaning, and to help avoid conflict with other portions of the Constitution and By laws.

Fellowship and Social Committee
The Fellowship and Social Committee shall consist of a least ten members and shall provide assistance for Church functions requiring food and/or drink. The fellowship and Social Committee shall be responsible for the use of the Fellowship Hall, Kitchen facilities, Kitchen equipment and supplies, to ensure proper maintenance and adequacy of supply. The committee will ensure uniformity in the administration and use of the facilities, to provide for the safety of the occupants, and to ensure that adequate steps are taken to preserve the beauty and serviceability of the property. The Committee will serve as liaison for coordinating the activities of all persons or groups in their relationship to the food service needs of the Church. The committee represents the Church in all matters to food services and serves as consultants to persons paid or unpaid who have specific assignments or related in the food service program .

RESPONSIBILITY: The Fellowship and Social Committee will be responsible for the following activities provided by Fort Foote Baptist Church.

Funerals or Repasts, Picnic (Church wide), Revival (last night), Initial Sermons, Ordinations, New member’s Fellowship (Church wide), Black History Program, Good Friday Service, Deacon Day and Vacation Bible School.

Foundation Scripture - 1 John 1:3-7
3That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. 5This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is responsible for making a careful study of the financial needs of the Church as submitted by the church organizations. On the basis of its findings the committee drafts and suggests a unified budget. This Committee also has supervision over financial policies of the Church and the expenditure of the budgeted funds, and makes recommendations for changes in the budget.

Flowers Committee
The Flower committee is responsible for ensuring that flowers are provided for all worship services whenever possible. The committees also sends flowers to those members who are bereaved or ill.

Information Technology
The Fort Foote Baptist Church Information Technology (IT) Committee serves in an advisory role to support the computing, network, and technical infrastructure of the church by identifying opportunities, issues, and risks associated with church technology initiatives. The Committee provides oversight and leadership for FFBC technology to assure that appropriate policies, plans and procedures exist for such critical functions as hardware and software installation, maintenance of physical equipment, data integrity and security, and disaster recovery planning. The committee briefs members of the church regarding all aspects of the FFBC information technology plans and objectives, recommending policies that govern the acceptable use of technology. Additional responsibilities include:

• systems acquisition, management, security and maintenance
• monitoring technical contracts and managing vendors
• providing IT training
• development and implementation of usage standards
• participating in on-going IT capital planning
• collaborating with FFBC organizations to assess IT needs
• ensuring that authorized users have appropriate access to information systems and services
• development of technical and operational standards related to the implementation maintenance of IT equipment

The IT Committee is also manages of the Fort Foote Baptist Church website.

Library
The mission of the Fort Foote Baptist Church Library is to provide resources and services which advance learning about God, stimulate growth, enrich worship experiences, and enable the ministry of the members and leaders of our church by being a provider of information and services to implement the present and planned mission of Fort Foote Baptist Church and to share those resources with those outside the membership.

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee maintains an active membership roll of resident members, makes a list of all members who have died, all who are non-resident, and all who have failed during the year to attend and financially support the Church

This committee investigates requests for letters of dismissal and makes recommendation to the Church.

Music Committee
The Music committee is charged with providing worshipful music for all services and departments of the Church, organizing and supervising all choirs deemed necessary by the Church, and providing general oversight and direction of the music ministry of the Church. The Music Director coordinates with the Pastor in the selection of suitable music and devises appropriate musical programs for all occasions where such services are needed and requested.
The Director of Music has the authority to recommend suitable persons for musicians, choir directors, and other parties as may be authorized.
This committee ensures that choir needs, such as robes, music, and related items are provided, and the musical instruments are kept in tune and repair.

Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee ensures that nominees are qualified and willing to serve in the positions to which they have been nominates.

Offering Counters Committee
The Offering Counters committee consists of three or more regular members, with at least three substitutes. The Chair, in full cooperation with the committee members determines when and where the monies will be counted. Offering Counters make the deposits in the bank, and make whatever reports that are indicated to the Treasurer, the Financial secretary and to the Church.

Human Resources
The Human Resources committee is committed to working strategically with the Fort Foote Baptist church in identifying and responding to its changing needs. We will provide leadership and guidance in the development, implementation, and equitable administration of sound human resource policies, procedures, and programs which support the church’s spiritual mission, therefore encouraging a positive work environment.

Recreation Committee
The Recreation Committee assists with providing wholesome recreational activities which will be conducive to good Christian fellowship and festivity.

Safety and Security Committee
The mission of the Safety and Security Committee is to assure the safety and security of the Church, its property, and its members. The security staff will observe and control church parking; monitor the church during services and the numerous meetings and church activities. Security will respond to and take charge of emergency situations, provide escort for offering counters to make deposits, provide written reports of any accidents or safety risks. The committee will ensure the safety and the security of church property and members during fire drills and in the event of an actual fire. The committee is responsible for developing an action plan to evacuate the church in case of an emergency.

Scholarship Committee
The Scholarship program is designed to offer financial support to the Fort Foote Baptist Church post-secondary graduate students. In an effort to meet the needs of our Fort Foote Family, it is our goal to encourage and raise the consciousness of our youth to meet the challenges of a formal education.

Transportation Committee
The mission of the Transportation Committee is to approve all requests for the use of the Church-owned vehicles, to review the driving records of all potential drivers, to ensure that the maintenance and repair of church owned vehicles, and to evaluate the transportation needs of the church and the maintenance of vehicles. Vehicles owned and operated by Fort Foote Baptist Church are for the purpose and support of the ministry. They are made available to ministry groups and organizations of Fort Foote Baptist Church to provide safe and dependable group transportation for church related activities and ministry functions. Church vehicles will not be loaned or leased to outside groups.
