Deacon Chair
Deacon
Vincent Hodge accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior 45 years
ago. He has been an ordained Deacon for the past 33 years and he loves
serving the Lord as a Deacon Servant, his first love is being a witness for
Jesus Christ. He is strong believer that the word of God has to be taken to
God's people even to the outermost parts of the world. He has been involved
in evangelism and mission work for the past 20 years. God blessed Deacon
Hodge to work in street ministries and to minister to the homeless.
Believing in the scripture 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved
unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the
word of truth,” Deacon Hodge feels that learning God's word starts at birth
and ends at death. He is well trained in many different disciplines and his
greatest passion is providing counseling for those with substance abuse
problems, family problems, victims of domestic violence, and the homeless.
He is also a well known mediator in the court systems in Virginia, Maryland
and the District of Columbia as well as the Human Relations Commission in
Prince Georges County. He holds an undergraduate degree in Human Services,
and a Masters Degree in Ministry, Christian Counseling Psychology. He has an
Honorary Doctorate from Riverside Baptist College and Seminary, where he was
a member of the Faculty teaching classes on substance abuse and related
problems. He is currently completing work on a Doctorate in Ministry,
Christian Counseling Psychology at Freedom Bible College and Seminary.
Deacon Hodge's favorite scripture is Galatians 6:1-2: “Brethren, if a man be
overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the
spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye
one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
