Mission Statement

The Fort Foote Baptist Church Deacon Body consists of men who are first called by God, then approved by the Church in accordance with Acts 6:1-7. The Deacon's role is a servant role. They serve under the leadership and spiritual direction of the Pastor, in prayer, support, and fellowship. Each Deacon is assigned a number of families to watch over and to assist with their needs. The Deacon Family Ministry is designed to promote peace, harmony and a spirit of cooperation and unity among the membership. The Deacons also lead the Church in the achievement of its mission, to minister the Gospel to believers and unbelievers, to care for the Church members and others in the community, and to be consistent examples as Christian role models in the church.
